Oil on masonite board. Signed “Arthur V. Diehl” in the lower right corner. Diehl (1870-1929) was an Englishman who emigrated to the United States in 1891 and had studios throughout New England and in St. Augustine, Florida. His artwork and his personality were both extrovert. This scene depicts cows presumably in the countryside grazing peacefully.
